“I learned from an early age about the importance of tzedakah and that giving back can take many forms. The Foundation helped me realize that while giving your time is important and necessary, organizations ultimately need money to succeed. By opening a B’nai Tzedek Fund at the time of my Bar Mitzvah, I was able to begin to contribute to the programs and institutions that do so much for our community. By recently opening a Donor Advised Fund at the Foundation, I am able to continue that work while living outside the Kansas City community. My link to Kansas City and the Jewish community has remained strong in large part because of the Jewish Community Foundation and for that I am truly grateful.”
